Surveillance Self Defense

While researching Signal for our Know Your Rights training this past weekend, I found a useful overview of some basic precautions you can take to limit your digital footprint in an increasingly hostile world. Rather than recap everything in the article, I'll simply recommend you take a look and review some basic choices you're making every day when you use your phone, your computer, the internet, and social media. The information is provided by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, long a champion of digital literacy and privacy.

Even small steps can be important to protecting your privacy, such as turning off biometrics and putting your phone in airplane mode before going to a protest. The series of tutorials is well worth your time!
